Papers

  1. The LinGO Redwoods Treebank: Motivation and Preliminary Applications (2002)
The paper proposes a treebank that stores full HPSG analyses from a broad-coverage grammar (the LinGO English Resource Grammar) instead of one fixed tree format, so that users can extract the representation they need.
  2. TnT – A Statistical Part-of-Speech Tagger (2000) measured
TnT ("Trigrams'n'Tags") shows that a carefully engineered second-order hidden Markov model is as accurate as more complex taggers of its time.
