Corpus-driven visualization, learning and linguistics
What it is about
A one-page editorial introducing three papers of the issue: Kofoed on linking a repository of some 5 000 images of biblical places and customs to dictionary entries in the Bible Online Learner (with the Flood story, Gen 6–9, as the test), Oosting on preposition changes in the textual tradition of Isaiah, and Winther-Nielsen on the corpus as a tutor for language learning. Its common thread is the ETCBC database used at once as a research tool, a learning tool and the carrier of a "virtual world" of the Bible.
Ideas
Ideas: none for Mova. The editorial only announces the papers; their ideas are on their own cards (hbo-2017-oosting-…, hbo-2017-winther-nielsen-corpus-tutor-…, hbo-2017-kofoed-…).
For Mova
Nothing to apply directly.
