Psalms 14720 verses, each with its tree and pragmatics: Hebrew, Aramaic (the Targum) and English (JPS 1917), the English sentence by sentence.147:1הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ כִּי־טוֹב זַמְּרָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ כִּֽי־נָעִים נָאוָה תְהִלָּֽה׃Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.147:2בּוֹנֵה יְרוּשָׁלִַם יְהוָה נִדְחֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֵּֽס׃The LORD doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel;147:3הָרֹפֵא לִשְׁבוּרֵי לֵב וּמְחַבֵּשׁ לְעַצְּבוֹתָֽם׃Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.147:4מוֹנֶה מִסְפָּר לַכּוֹכָבִים לְכֻלָּם שֵׁמוֹת יִקְרָֽא׃He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names.147:5גָּדוֹל אֲדוֹנֵינוּ וְרַב־כֹּחַ לִתְבוּנָתוֹ אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.147:6מְעוֹדֵד עֲנָוִים יְהוָה מַשְׁפִּיל רְשָׁעִים עֲדֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃The LORD upholdeth the humble; He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.147:7עֱנוּ לַיהוָה בְּתוֹדָה זַמְּרוּ לֵאלֹהֵינוּ בְכִנּֽוֹר׃Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God;147:8הַֽמְכַסֶּה שָׁמַיִם ׀ בְּעָבִים הַמֵּכִין לָאָרֶץ מָטָר הַמַּצְמִיחַ הָרִים חָצִֽיר׃Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh the mountains to spring with grass.147:9נוֹתֵן לִבְהֵמָה לַחְמָהּ לִבְנֵי עֹרֵב אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָֽאוּ׃He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.147:10לֹא בִגְבוּרַת הַסּוּס יֶחְפָּץ לֹֽא־בְשׁוֹקֵי הָאִישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃He delighteth not in the strength of the horse; He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.147:11רוֹצֶה יְהוָה אֶת־יְרֵאָיו אֶת־הַֽמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that wait for His mercy.147:12שַׁבְּחִי יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶת־יְהוָה הַֽלְלִי אֱלֹהַיִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.147:13כִּֽי־חִזַּק בְּרִיחֵי שְׁעָרָיִךְ בֵּרַךְ בָּנַיִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּֽךְ׃For He hath made strong the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.147:14הַשָּׂם־גְּבוּלֵךְ שָׁלוֹם חֵלֶב חִטִּים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽךְ׃He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat.147:15הַשֹּׁלֵחַ אִמְרָתוֹ אָרֶץ עַד־מְהֵרָה יָרוּץ דְּבָרֽוֹ׃He sendeth out His commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.147:16הַנֹּתֵן שֶׁלֶג כַּצָּמֶר כְּפוֹר כָּאֵפֶר יְפַזֵּֽר׃He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.147:17מַשְׁלִיךְ קַֽרְחוֹ כְפִתִּים לִפְנֵי קָרָתוֹ מִי יַעֲמֹֽד׃He casteth forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?147:18יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיַמְסֵם יַשֵּׁב רוּחוֹ יִזְּלוּ־מָֽיִם׃He sendeth forth His word, and melteth them; He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow.147:19מַגִּיד דְּבָרָיו לְיַעֲקֹב חֻקָּיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel.147:20לֹא עָשָׂה כֵן ׀ לְכָל־גּוֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִים בַּל־יְדָעוּם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them.← previousPsalms 146next →Psalms 148↑ back to PsalmsThis page in Markdown → https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/ketuvim/PSA/147/
