In a real fire the most dangerous thing is usually the smoke, which is why smoke alarms save lives and why the rule is "get out, stay out, call 999" (or 112).

This is a sentence of the lesson «Fire: what it needs and how to put it out» of the chemistry course of Mova's primary school.
