Olympiad: real languages and codes, sentence 2

When words travel into another language they are reshaped to fit its sounds: Hawaiian has no r, s or t, and its syllables end in vowels, so "Merry Christmas" became "Mele Kalikimaka"; Japanese adds vowels too, so ice cream became "aisukurīmu".

Who acts: words, Hawaiian, syllables, Merry Christmas, Japanese, ice cream · What happens: travel, reshape, fit, have, end, become · To what, where: language, watu, sounds, r, vowels, Mele

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R6-punct-agree ×1, R7-rel-agree ×1, R8-pos-agree ×1.
