Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the rest of the English-speaking world, sentence 12

The Treaty of Waitangi, signed in 1840 between the British Crown and many Māori chiefs, is New Zealand's founding document; its English and Māori versions do not say the same thing about who holds power, which has caused arguments ever since; and Māori and New Zealand Sign Language are official languages by law, while English is used everywhere without a law naming it.

Who acts: Treaty, English versions, same thing, Māori, law · What happens: sign, be, not say, hold, cause, use · To what, where: Treaty, 1840, founding document, same thing, power, arguments · Speech: someone speaks here

This is a sentence of the lesson «Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the rest of the English-speaking world» of the geography course of Mova's primary school. The page gives its syntax tree — a dependency tree in the style of Universal Dependencies — and its pragmatics clause by clause: who acts (Treaty, English versions, same thing, Māori), what happens, when and where, as Mova's frames read it from the tree.

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×2, R7-rel-agree ×3, R8-pos-agree ×4. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
