The struggle of 1917–21 and the Holodomor, sentence 2

Danylo's stories made heroes and villains simple, but the real people were mixed: Hetman Skoropadsky depended on German troops yet founded the Academy of Sciences, and Petliura is honoured by many while historians still argue about pogroms (violent attacks on Jews) by troops under his command.

Who acts: stories, Hetman, historians, Petliura · What happens: make, mix, depend, found, honour, argue · To what, where: heroes, real people, Academy, Petliura · Speech: someone speaks here

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R3-conj-first ×1, R5-strong ×1, R7-rel-agree ×1, R8-pos-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
