The years before the year 1 are counted backwards and called BC, before Christ: an event in 3000 BC happened 3000 years before the year 1, about 5000 years ago.

This is a sentence of the lesson «Time and history: the timeline and how people lived long ago» of the world course of Mova's primary school.
