sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: It is a strong word for acts or things that God forbids, such as idol worship, forbidden relations and cheating with weights. The Hebrew word is to'evah. Interpretation: Rabbis taught that to'evah marks the most serious wrongs, and they often saw in it a warning about how Israel should live apart from the ways of Canaan.
