sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: God "requires" or demands an account, meaning He will call someone to answer and be punished or repay for a wrong. Interpretation: Tradition reads "I will require it of him" as a warning that a false prophet or one who ignores God's word will answer to Heaven. In the primary lessons: In maths: how much of something is needed; often per item, a rate; «required», «how many are required». In science: living things require water, air and food. In everyday life: rules and signs («helmets required»), forms with «required» boxes. In stories: «the quest required great courage».
