sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Tanakh it can mean the side opposite left, and also what is just, true or proper, as in "a right answer" or one who "hateth right." God's "right hand" is a picture of His power. Interpretation: The right hand is a sign of strength and favour in the tradition. The Psalms ask why God holds back His right hand, which the tradition reads as a plea for Him to save Israel. "Conjugal rights" are understood by the rabbis as duties a husband owes his wife, including food, clothing and marriage rights. In the primary lessons: a correct answer; the score of correct answers («Round 1: 8 of 20 right»); «N right and M wrong» together make the total (add); in maths a right angle is a square corner (90 degrees); in safety «look right, look left, look right again» (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand drive on the left); in everyday life «all right», «right away», children's rights; in casual talk «right?», «yeah right», «a right mess»; in rough talk «serves you right»; in the exam voice «Select the correct response», «valid», «accurate», «consistent with»

note
Carries no operation clue by itself. Trap: «N right and M wrong» together make the total, so add; «right» here is not a direction. «Got 12 right out of 15» means 3 were wrong (15 − 12). «…, right?» asks you to agree: check the claim before you say yes. «yeah, right» is sarcasm and means the opposite. «a right mess» means a real mess. A right angle is 90 degrees. Do not mix «right» with «write» (put words on paper) and «rite»: they sound the same.
