sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: People were told to follow the "sentence of judgment" from the priests and judge in the place God chooses. In the Writings and Prophets a sentence is also a decision of God or a king, as in "give sentence between me and thee." Interpretation: The rabbis read this as the authority of the high court (Sanhedrin) to interpret the law, which Jews must follow. Saying that God is judge and gives sentence is read as the belief that He is the final judge of right. In the primary lessons: In English lessons: a sentence needs a verb and usually a subject (The dog barks.); types are statements, questions, commands and exclamations; simple, compound and complex sentences; join sentences with «and», «but», «because». In maths, a number sentence is an equation such as 3 + 4 = 7. In stories about courts: the judge sentenced him to prison. Phrases: write in full sentences, number sentence, life sentence.
