sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: To shake can mean to tremble with fear, as Job's bones did, or to move violently, as waves and mountains do. The psalms use it for the shaking of the earth before God's power. In Genesis it also means to throw off a yoke. Interpretation: Tradition reads the shaking mountains and seas as the world trembling before its Creator. In the primary lessons: an action in the story, often shaking hands (counting handshakes); also a milk shake that is bought; in science: in an earthquake the ground shakes; shaking a bottle mixes things; in manners: shake hands to greet; phrases: «shake hands», «shake your head», «shake off» (get rid of), «in two shakes» (very soon)
