sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: It often means weighing out silver as payment, since coins were not yet in use. In Sefer Yetzirah God "weighed" the letters to create the world. In Daniel and Job, being "weighed in the balances" is a picture of being judged. Interpretation: In Sefer Yetzirah, weighing the letters means combining and balancing them, and the book says God made all things from them. Daniel's "Tekel" is read as God judging Belshazzar and finding him too light, and Job's wish to have his troubles weighed is a plea for fair judgment. In the primary lessons: tells a weight in pounds or kilograms; weights are added or compared; in science, objects are weighed on scales or balances; phrases «weigh up», «weigh down», «weigh in»
