Papers

  1. Not an Interlingua, But Close: Comparison of English AMRs to Chinese and Czech (2014)
The authors take 100 English sentences that already have AMR graphs, translate them into Chinese and Czech, and write AMR graphs for the translations.
  2. An Expert Lexicon Approach to Identifying English Phrasal Verbs (2003)
Phrasal verbs (look for, turn on, blow up) sit between lexicon and syntax, and a plain lexical lookup mistags them both ways: it misses separable uses such as "turn the radio off", and it fires on "looked for quite a while", where "for" starts a prepositional phrase.
