Psalms 11829 verses, each with its tree and pragmatics: Hebrew, Aramaic (the Targum) and English (JPS 1917), the English sentence by sentence.118:1הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'118:2יֹֽאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃So let Israel now say, for His mercy endureth for ever,118:3יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא בֵֽית־אַהֲרֹן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃So let the house of Aaron now say, for His mercy endureth for ever.118:4יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא יִרְאֵי יְהוָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃So let them now that fear the LORD say, for His mercy endureth for ever.118:5מִֽן־הַמֵּצַר קָרָאתִי יָּהּ עָנָנִי בַמֶּרְחָב יָֽהּ׃Out of my straits I called upon the LORD; He answered me with great enlargement.118:6יְהוָה לִי לֹא אִירָא מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָֽם׃The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?118:7יְהוָה לִי בְּעֹזְרָי וַאֲנִי אֶרְאֶה בְשֹׂנְאָֽי׃The LORD is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me.118:8טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בָּאָדָֽם׃It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.118:9טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בִּנְדִיבִֽים׃It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.118:10כָּל־גּוֹיִם סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃All nations compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.118:11סַבּוּנִי גַם־סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃They compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.118:12סַבּוּנִי כִדְבוֹרִים דֹּעֲכוּ כְּאֵשׁ קוֹצִים בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃They compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.118:13דַּחֹה דְחִיתַנִי לִנְפֹּל וַיהוָה עֲזָרָֽנִי׃Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but the LORD helped me.118:14עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ וַֽיְהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃The LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.118:15קוֹל ׀ רִנָּה וִֽישׁוּעָה בְּאָהֳלֵי צַדִּיקִים יְמִין יְהוָה עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.118:16יְמִין יְהוָה רוֹמֵמָה יְמִין יְהוָה עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.118:17לֹֽא אָמוּת כִּי־אֶֽחְיֶה וַאֲסַפֵּר מַֽעֲשֵׂי יָֽהּ׃I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.118:18יַסֹּר יִסְּרַנִּי יָּהּ וְלַמָּוֶת לֹא נְתָנָֽנִי׃The LORD hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death.118:19פִּתְחוּ־לִי שַׁעֲרֵי־צֶדֶק אָֽבֹא־בָם אוֹדֶה יָֽהּ׃Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto the LORD.118:20זֶֽה־הַשַּׁעַר לַיהוָה צַדִּיקִים יָבֹאוּ בֽוֹ׃This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter into it.118:21אוֹדְךָ כִּי עֲנִיתָנִי וַתְּהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.118:22אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים הָיְתָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּֽה׃The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.118:23מֵאֵת יְהוָה הָיְתָה זֹּאת הִיא נִפְלָאת בְּעֵינֵֽינוּ׃This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.118:24זֶה־הַיּוֹם עָשָׂה יְהוָה נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בֽוֹ׃This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.118:25אָנָּא יְהוָה הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא אָֽנָּא יְהוָה הַצְלִיחָה נָּֽא׃We beseech Thee, O LORD, save now!
