Time zones and the date line, sentence 5

The Earth turns 360 degrees in 24 hours, so it turns 15 degrees of longitude every hour, which is the basic width of a time zone; one degree takes 4 minutes, so a town 2 or 3 degrees west of another sees noon about 10 minutes later.

Who acts: Earth, hour, one degree, town · What happens: turn, be, take, see · To what, where: 360 degrees, 15 degrees, basic width

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×3, R7-rel-agree ×3, R8-pos-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
