note
«Over 50» means more than 50, not exactly 50. «Left over» means the remainder or what is left: subtract or divide with a remainder. Trap: «over» as «above» gives no operation. In fractions, «3 over 4» means 3/4. Opposite: under. «Turn over» means flip. «Over» about time (over the weekend) means during. Casual «over it» is a feeling, not a number. Formal «in excess of» and «exceeding» = more than (not equal to).
