sense in the lessons
In science, evaporation is part of the water cycle: the Sun warms seas and puddles, the water evaporates into water vapour, rises, cools, and condenses into clouds, then falls as rain. Puddles dry up and washing dries because water evaporates; it happens faster when it is warm, windy, or the water is spread out. Salt is collected by evaporating seawater. In stories «His courage evaporated» means it disappeared.

note
Regular verb. Noun «evaporation». Evaporating is not boiling: water evaporates at any temperature, but boils at 100 °C at sea level. The opposite change, gas to liquid, is «condense» (condensation). Water vapour is invisible; the white steam you see is tiny drops that have already condensed.
