Papers

  1. Conjunct Lengths in English, Dependency Length Minimization, and Dependency Structure of Coordination (2023)
The authors test whether, in English binary coordinations, the left conjunct tends to be shorter than the right one, and whether this depends on the position of the external governor.
  2. Nested Coordination in Universal Dependencies (2019)
The paper asks whether UD can tell apart the different nestings of a coordination such as "Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo": a flat ternary structure, or a binary one whose first or second conjunct is itself a coordination.
