sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Said of a face for sadness, and of hair that has dropped out. In the Prophets it also means killed or brought down, as fallen heroes and the day-star fallen from heaven. Interpretation: Fallen hair is part of the laws of skin disease, where a bald person is still ruled clean. David's lament "How are the mighty fallen" is read as grief for Saul and Jonathan. Isaiah's fallen day-star is read as a picture of a proud king brought low. In the primary lessons: In stories it tells the reader something already dropped or happened before now. In science, «the temperature has fallen» means it went down; in maths and graphs «prices have fallen» means the number got smaller. In safety: a fallen power line or fallen tree is dangerous. Phrases: has fallen, had fallen, fallen asleep, fallen over, fallen in love.
